Valerio Bioglio received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in applied mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Università degli Studi di Torino, Torino, Italy, in 2006, 2008, and 2012, respectively. Since 2023 he has been a Tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Computer Science department of the Università degli Studi di Torino, Torino, Italy. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with Politecnico of Torino. In 2015 he joined the Huawei French Research Centre as a Junior Researcher in channel coding, while in 2018 he got the position of Senior Researcher. He is the author of more than 50 articles and more than 20 inventions, and served as Associate Editor for IEEE journals and conferences. His research interests include information theory, communication theory and signal processing with focus on mathematical modeling and coding theory. His current research interests lie in the field of post-5G communication systems, with application to distributed storage, caching, and polar codes
