I am very interested in object-centric representation learning, where that natural scenes can be modeled as compositions of objects and their relations as opposed to distributed representations, medical image analysis, aerial/satellite imagery, and other AI-based computer vison applications.

My PhD research focused on capsule networks, deep learning models that encode object into vector representations, called capsules, that can be used to better model hierarchical relationships.

In 2022 I spent 6 months at Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland), supervised by Prof. Ville Kyrki and Francesco Verdoja, where I developed a system for non-GNSS visual localization of UAVs.

In 2018 I also worked at Addfor and Machine Learning Reply as deep learning scientist.

I received my master’s and bachelor’s degrees at the Computer Science Department of University of Turin. My previous research advisor was Prof. Valentina Gliozzi who introduced me in description logics, non-monotonic reasoning and prototypical representations.
